New Projects

Purple Field Productions is venturing into new territories.

Two of our Agricultural and Environmental Films, Change with the Climate (Uganda) and ULIMI – Trees and Stoves (Malawi) are soon to be used in Senegal – dubbed into Mandinka, the local language of the south-east Senegal region (see map).

Filmmaker Chloe White will be leaving for Senegal to start work on dubbing with our partner NGO, CRP Simenti, an environmental and conservation charity which aims to help the local communities by demonstrating new business ideas, farming practices and resource management techniques. They spotted our films online and saw that the messages were relevant to their region.

This is an exciting phase for us as our films are now reaching even further than planned and it is an incredibly economical way of extending the life of our films. If dubbing proves successful in Senegal it might prove worthwhile in other countries where the messages can help.

You can watch both films on our Youtube channel.
